Description:
Musc Ravageur is a 2000 Frédéric Malle fragrance created by Maurice Roucel and centred on a warm, floral-free amber structure. The composition opens with bergamot and mandarin, bringing citrus brightness alongside aromatic lavender before transitioning into its richer amber character. Vanilla introduces smooth sweetness and warmth, closely integrated with musk to form the fragrance's defining core. Sandalwood provides a creamy woody foundation that further rounds the composition. Rather than building around traditional floral notes, Musc Ravageur focuses on the contrast between its fresh aromatic opening and a dense combination of amber, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. As it wears, the initial citrus and lavender recede, allowing the warmer, softer and more sensual amber-musk structure to become increasingly prominent.
Please note, when ordering a decant size, you will receive the original fragrance in a glass vial atomizer, not the bottle pictured above.
