Description:
Portrait of a Lady is a landmark Frédéric Malle composition created by Dominique Ropion and released in 2010. Built around an exceptionally prominent rose accord, the fragrance reinterprets the floral chypre structure through a rich contrast of fruit, spice, woods and incense. Rose dominates the composition, accompanied by blackcurrant and raspberry, while clove adds a warm spicy accent. Patchouli provides an earthy, structured depth beneath the floral character, with sandalwood lending smooth woody warmth. Frankincense introduces a darker, smoky dimension that reinforces the fragrance's chypre character. The composition develops from its full-bodied rose and fruit opening into increasingly woody, earthy and incense-toned facets, creating a sophisticated balance between floral opulence and shadowed woods.
Please note, when ordering a decant size, you will receive the original fragrance in a glass vial atomizer, not the bottle pictured above.
