Description:
Tales of Amber is a modern amber composition created by perfumer Suzy Le Helley in collaboration with Goldfield & Banks founder and creative director Dimitri Weber. The fragrance centres on New Zealand ambergris and the historic De Laire Amber 83 accord, built around labdanum and vanillin. Moss and orange blossom introduce earthy and floral contrasts before powdery orris and cinnamon add warmth and texture. The composition then deepens around labdanum, ambergris and Australian agarwood, with oud and vanillin reinforcing its woody, resinous character. Rather than presenting amber solely through sweetness, Tales of Amber combines balsamic warmth with mineral, powdery, earthy and subtly animalic facets. At 30% concentration, it belongs to the brand’s Botanical Series and offers a distinctly Australian interpretation of an ambery-woody Extrait de Parfum.
