Description:
Sauvage Extrait is Dior’s 2026 interpretation of the Sauvage signature at its most concentrated, composed by Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creation Director at Parfums Christian Dior. The fragrance introduces oud to the Sauvage collection for the first time, using Vietnamese oud as a central element within its woody fougère structure. Bergamot and lavender preserve the aromatic freshness associated with Sauvage, while ambroxan reinforces its distinctive mineral character. The composition then moves into a darker woody register, where oud is supported by Atlas and Virginia cedars, patchouli and vetiver. The contrast between aromatic brightness and dense woods gives Sauvage Extrait a richer, more substantial character while retaining a clear connection to the original Sauvage identity.
