Description:
Rose Prick Eau de Parfum is Tom Ford’s distinctive interpretation of rose, introduced in 2020 and inspired by the rare blooms of a private rose garden. Rather than presenting rose as purely soft or delicate, the composition places its floral character against contrasting spice, earthiness and warmth. Bulgarian rose forms a central floral signature, sharpened by turmeric extract and Sichuan pepper. Indonesian patchouli introduces the woody, earthy character associated with the chypre family, giving the rose greater depth and structure. Roasted tonka adds a gently caramelised, vanilla-like warmth, while Tolu balsam contributes a smooth resinous quality. As it develops, the initial spicy character gives way to a fuller floral and patchouli accord before settling into a warmer balsamic base. Rose Prick remains recognisably rose-led throughout, but its combination of spice, patchouli and tonka gives the composition a darker, more textured character.
