Chanel No. 5 Eau de Parfum is a richer, more sensual interpretation of the original fragrance created in 1921 by Ernest Beaux for Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. Reworked into EDP form in 1986 by Jacques Polge, this version preserves the iconic aldehydic sparkle while deepening the floral heart of jasmine and rose, sourced from Grasse. Powdery iris and creamy sandalwood bring elegance and structure, while vanilla and vetiver add warmth and softness to the drydown. Long regarded as the blueprint for modern perfumery, No. 5 redefined what fragrance could be — abstract, confident and unmistakably feminine.
