The Community’s Take

Gris Charnel Extrait opens on fresh cardamom and a green, fruity fig, then creamy orris and sandalwood come forward. It dries down to vanilla with vetiver and patchouli, and the vanilla never turns overly sweet.

The opening can feel a little sharp and woody, and it is fairly linear, with sandalwood, vanilla and cardamom carrying most of the wear.

The drydown is worth the wait: smoky, creamy and resinous, a quiet skin warmth that still makes its presence felt.
