The Community’s Take

God of Fire bursts open with a juicy, photorealistic mango that is fizzy, tangy and a little green, lifted by lemon and a kick of ginger. Instead of turning syrupy it keeps that freshness into the drydown, where a darker layer of leather and oud slips in beneath the fruit.

In strong heat the sweetness can feel dense, the drydown can feel heavy to some noses, and the sweet citrus can carry a slightly medicinal edge.

At its best it is a mood-lifting tropical scent, sweet without going gourmand or childish, and its sillage carries well past the opening.
